EXPLAIN YOUR IDEA

Ongoing Fund : The idea is to make a product through the art work of child, and use that art work as a candy package,(with less investment, more students can buy, new product), basically the idea should be lead by an established org(GOVT/UN/UNICEF/UNHCR) they need to make a deal with the candy manufacturer, this packaging should be in form of an jeweler/bracelet to target the youngsters. This packaged product will be sold in schools, colleges, Shops etc just to raise an awareness and for raising the fund. The ratio of poor children will be far less than children who are doing well, So still lot of fund can be raised, if org like UNHCR can ensure that these products gets max tax benefit,we can raise more fund!
The product should be marketed in various countries, that's why i mentioned UNICEF and UN. If they could market it through school, college and shops (not sure how exactly they do merchandise) they can raise a good amount of aid. Is it possible GOVT\UNCIEF making a joint venture with one of these org? for executing this kind of idea? because the main issue is the fund and money, if we have more funds, more ideas can be executed and more children can be brought up to the school

WHO BENEFITS?

1)Children learns alternate thinking,
2)Students learns various skills, the students needs to promote this idea in social sites, by creating posters etc
3)Students needs to maintain/ design a website where the voting for the design needs to take place.
4)Some students can be involved in discussion with the candy manufacturing industries, so they get to learn the process & business negotiation.

PROTOTYPE

1) Select a topic, ask the children to draw on the given topic on the paper.
2) Use the senior children, teachers to short list 10 pictures from each class.
3)upload the pictures in any site that produces free upload (for e.g Facebook )
4)Use a celebrity from arts background who supports UNICEF to validate those pictures.
5)Shortlist those pictures
6)Ask the students to convert those as jewellery model, all the pictures can be combined to a model or each one can be combined to a model.
7)Make a limited edition of these, by having a discussion with the candy manufacturer, so that limited edition of the candies gets sold with this packaging.
8)See the market response for these products when sold in school, apparel shop, grocery shop.
9)Decide the price and have a tie up at international level for squeezing various tax, so that a maximum profit can be made for such a product that can be used as a money credit in the parent's cash card.

FEEDBACK

This idea has been shared previously https://educategirls.unhcrideas.org/Page/ViewIdea?ideaid=3387
I would like to see more feedback on this, so that the idea can become robust.

I have been working on this idea for almost 4 years, though not completely, it has undergone transition in each stage. Sharing the consolidated feedback along with the initial version and i have marked the tasks to be done by UNICEF and UNHCR in red under the feedback section. Please go through the attached document
1) Initial-version-with-feedback.pdf

Other feedback to be obtained.
1) Psychologist on the effect of spatial arrangement and colors
2) Consumers : Teenagers, youngsters, and parents how much they can contribute for such an idea, and will they contribute ?

There may be initial challenges as the business model is new, but this idea will work with minimum risk as mentioned in the prototype and feedback section. I feel its an idea worth to be tried out.

Importance of this idea:
1)Fund it can raise
2)Teach children on spatial arrangement
3)Good message to community
4)Reduces obesity in children when designed with nuts.

http://www.unhcr.org/556db2606.html there are still shortage of funds in some refugee areas, so such ideas can help a lot.

FEEDBACK of initial version i am mentioning here, the idea i have submitted, is after making the changes based on feedback

The Bad?
· Already product present in market
· Cost, every time they are not ready to spend, though the cause is for good.

What failed?
· Product chosen was wrong (School bags, handkerchief) it was not unique!

Were there suggestions for improvement?
· Try to reduce the price
· Market it with help of some celebrity through social site.
·This gave the thought of candy jewellery

What needs further investigation?
• Type of a product, to be changed
• Have a recurring customer with small profit, than one time customer.

The Good?
When i shared the social fashion idea with, few youngsters they said they are glad to
contribute for such ideas http://www.voicesofyouth.org/en/posts/minimize-child-labour-and-poverty
But this is a small group, this survey needs to be done with more people.
· Can it target all the age group ?
· Will all the teenagers will support the idea ?
What did people value the most?
• The price
• The concern, that it will reach the people who requires the aid!
• They don't want it to be business
• They want their maximum contribution to reach, without tax duty.

What got them excited?
• Small contribution can change, someone's life and they get a product as well for their
contribution

What convinced them about the idea ?
• Fine to contribute for a cause
• Ready to buy for a smaller price, and if it is not a business in name of social
cause.

The Unexpected?
• Price, good cause

Did anything happen that you didn't expect?
• The idea of marketing the product through some celebrity as teenagers tend to follow
their style.

What Next
• Price was a concern for youngsters, as other products like bags are available in the market.
But each time they don't wan't to contribute that much
• Based on what i learned, how i changed idea?
1. Affordable price – Candy Jewellery (Candy looks simillar to designer stones in
jewellery so pack it and use it then consume it.)
2. To make it for a cause – This needs to be done by UNICEF and UNHCR
3. Maximize amount reaching the people in need – Only UNICEF / UNHCR can do.

The things required to be tested.
1. Feed back taken was from a smaller group, this needs to be done in a broader
perspective. https://polldaddy.com/poll/7093203/?view=results
2. Psychologist on the effect of spatial arrangement and colors
3. Consumers : Teenagers, youngsters, and parents how much they can
contribute for such an idea, and will they contribute ?
4. UNICEF and UNHCR : Is this model feasible ?
5.Get the clay/drawings of the children based on a topic.
6.Share this with volunteers, senior students in the refugee camp and ask them to frame it as an ornament model
7.Discuss with the candy/nuts industries about the feasible packing and designs that can be manufactured.
8.Launch the product in the selected countries, through school, college, retail market, and apparel stores.

The spatial arrangements are important in future, as we have space constraints, so every thing needs to behave along with the space from vehicle, home, and robots. So this type of education needs to be introduced at an early stage. Tet robots its a field which is already been explored in space exploration where the same robot can change its space and can be used for multiple purposes.

If we use nuts in the design we can avoid, obesity and other disease in the future generation http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/08/health/research/global-diabetes-rates-are-rising-as-obesity-spreads.html?_r=1
