Law and order:
- There should
be a change in the law and order, death can be extreme though on the basis
of humanity it won’t be achieved and it won't happen in our country, and
one or two year punishment is not going to do any good. So there should be
a series of other punishment in between the current punishment and the
extreme punishment.
- After all punishment is to
stop such occurrence in future, considering the psychology trauma which a
victim and her family undergoes the punishment should be severe. If we
want a person to change his mindset, we can give him a chance for few
months and by monitoring his answers from lie detection tests, the
questionnaire based should decide his fate. So in this case the punishment
is not extreme and not less, we have given them an opportunity to change.
- So this
should be feasible, as human rights team, will also agree as they should
equal importance to victim as well, as they have been at the receiving
end.
- But if still culprit
doesn't change then he should be given the severe punishment.
- More over such laws should
be brought to public notice, through advertisement, vehicle autoriksha campaigns by
government and the lie detectors are not precise, so even the culprit
would have got changed, and if the device couldn't detect his neural
activity properly he will be sentenced to death so such crimes will be
reduced in future. So such news should discourage harassment against
woman. Awareness of punishment to everyone is a must. So it discourages
the crime.
