Safer world for women

Safer world for women

Probably if some ideas shared below gets implemented, at least there will be better world for women, and children, at least in coming days.

It would be good if you can share this idea to some sociology, media students once you get an understanding and see if they can do this as a project from college through your network :). The main concept that can be feasible as of now is campaign from students.

I agree that government and parents has a role to play in education, but in country where illiteracy rate is high its going to be difficult and not going to happen soon.Rather than teaching someone, its better to use empathy, Giving kids with task, use the street play, write short poems in native language, sketches / photography, College Radio in local language, whatever art form, that can convey the message better and after few years ask the people in the community to contribute the same. Apart from communicating the message, level of communication as well needs to be changed. Its about putting message in unconscious mind. Few simple things like narrating about Pinocchio to both girl and boy child, can change their personality in stead of Cinderella . When it comes to student, they can use social sites to share the thoughts, its just the usage of repetitive messaging, this can be part of NSS(National social service) for India. But in other countries they were asking for a valuable certificate for volunteering, which could help in their career.

Please ref Dreams of having better and safer world document. I have shared the short term ideas and long term ideas. More emphasis needs on long term ideas, they are about

  1. Campaigning using students use journalist article to reach students. http://vramanusocialthoughts.blogspot.in/2014/08/advertisement-and-campaign-from-public.html
  2. Advertisement with help of Government in Radio and television. http://vramanusocialthoughts.blogspot.in/2014/08/government-initiated-campaign.html
  3. Articles through students and other journalist.
  4. Social Site Viral Advertisement promotions(need of government and UN Intervention on this).
  5. Children spend more than 80% of time in school and Internet, than with parents so this is best place     where they can be thought about gender equality and if required feminism subjects can be introduced.
  6. Ref Safer World for Women Long Term :                                                                                      http://vramanusocialthoughts.blogspot.in/2014/08/dream-of-having-safer-world-forwoman.html
Ref: to interview of UN Woman India in  Documentary India-A-Dangerous-Place-To-Be-A-Woman

“We need to value women in this country, equally to have gender equality in this society to stop the rape and molestation of woman.”

  1. The change won’t happen in a day or so, probably steps should be taken from all sides including government, on law. http://vramanusocialthoughts.blogspot.in/2014/08/law-and-order.html
  2. Students and youngsters through communicating through their arts. As mentioned above.
  3. Journalist by writing article with some suggestions and spreading the message to fellow journalist to communicate in local languages, so the ideas gets spread across the countries in local languages as well, as public are distributed so is their access to media, some may read newspaper, some may hear radio and some may receive it in television and social media.
